"The measure of life is not its duration but its donation" - Corrie ten Boom
Helping others, especially through your passion, will help give you the faith in your talents and make you more appreciative of your abilities and how they contribute to the world in a positive way. Serving is an expression of walking in love with compassion. Being generous, giving of time, money, gifts, abilities and talents freely can hone and focus your passions.
Jackie and Dan Morra are firm believers in being an inspiration to others, staying connected to your community, and sharing your God given talents to help those in need. Jackie and her husband Dan volunteer their time to partner with various charities such as Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Make A Wish Canada and Canadian Women's Foundation to create awareness of each organization's mission. They believe our greatest purpose on earth is to serve others and make a difference by giving back.
- Emily's House Children's Hospice Kids Recreation Room Makeover
- Emily's House a children's hospice in Toronto needed to transform a temporary storage room into a multi-purpose recreation and bereavement counselling room for the children and families in their care. They will use the space for the siblings of kids who are in the hospice to have a place to relax, play and hang out. We were so honoured to volunteer our time to create this space with generous donations from SunPan Modern Furniture, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, Fathead, Mural Unique and EB Games. "Everyone here is very excited about the number of activity stations and therapeutic play possibilities that can happen in the new space. The Dream Space has already proven to be very energizing for our front-line nursing / clinical staff, play therapist, children and visitors." Emily's House Staff
